It a tradition by Democrats & other progressives, pioneered by FDR and Adolf Hitler. Put people to work for government and claim you reduced unemployment. One of the main reasons why FDR initiated Social Security was to take older workers out of the work force.

Public sector jobs are taken from the private sector, requiring more tax. Democratic politicians are hoping Americans forget this fact. Also, socialist doctrinaires are hoping their students, as did Hillary Clinton, get hooked on the lie that the government should rule and decide the "shoe size" for all.

Those are good questions as Biden has constantly played with the way jobs are counted and how many are on unemployment- many have used the allowable for unemployment and are dropped from the numbers tauting the unemployment numbers
Look at the cost of living rent/mtg - gas - groceries have more than surpassed any raises given to the middle class and poor - look at the number of franchises closing tens of thousands workers to be laid off - Biden has continued to taut the stock market - it will be unsustainable once it is corrected - look at the amount of spending using credit cards just to pay for necessities- once these folks have maxed them along with the number of job loses happening today and many more on the horizen bankruptcies will go up drastically
