Granted, the OP was insulting, as many expressions of frustration are. But it did bring up a point about MAGA folks ignoring facts and playing with conspiracy theories. Not one response made any attempt to answer that.

Your frustration is entirely understandable because the answer to your question is, no. You can get through to the conservatives that haven't lost their minds but you cannot get through to the more fanatical MAGA people.

These are the same people that have been rearing their ugly heads long before Trump was elected. They were the infamous failures of the Tea Party during the Obama years, a movement that simply didn't have the substance to stay alive for very long. But what the Tea Party did do during its short stint, was encourage uneducated people to get involved in our democracy and as nice as it sounds to say ALL Americans get a voice, the fact remains that without an understanding of how the government works a person's involvement in our democracy stands a better chance of screwing it up.

For a while, I tried my best to avoid insulting these people, but when I came to the same realization that any attempt to reason with them will be met with closed ears and a mouthful of insults, it became a lesser concern for me. I still try to avoid direct insults but if someone is insulted by my analysis then that's on them.

I think it's very obvious that there is a high concentration of bigots among them, from r****ts to self-righteous theocrats. But I also think many of them are well-meaning people who simply lack the education to realize they are being played. This is abundantly obvious in their grammatically abysmal posts and the gaping absence of rational assessment. It seems they are only capable of one-line insults and the parroting of wh**ever arguments they're leaders provide them with.

We have no answers for this. In the past the uneducated simply didn't v**e. On the left, this is still largely the case, but on the right it seems that the uneducated has become a democratic resource to be exploited.

Airforce, I have often said this on OPP, but I'll say it again, I will never understand how anybody could v**e for Donald Trump!! He has c***ted on all three of his former wives, once with a porn star while his wife was recovering from childbirth. He has been indicted four times for over ninety felonies, he has been held responsible in a civil court for one case of sexual assault, and three cases of fraud. Let's not forget that he is the only POTUS that has been impeached twice! So far his only defense has been to delay, in hope that he will be elected POTUS and pardon himself. Does that sound like the strategy of an innocent person?
If the Supreme Court, which has three of his appointees, ever sees the cases against him, they may very well find him not guilty. There is a reason why the Supreme Court has the highest disapproval rates among Americans than in any other time in recent American history. The worst is of course Clarance Thomas. He has taken expensive vacations, been given expensive presents and other things of value by some billionaires. Alito, another conservative Justice also taken expensive vacations from billionaires. Some of them have cases that may come to the high court. Thomas refuses to recuse himself from cases involving Trump's alleged crimes, even though it is well known that his wife was involved with the planning of the disgraceful attack on the Capitol Building.
He has lied to the American people, or given false information thousands of times. All this and so much more, like s******n and i**********n, as well as falsely trying to o*******w the results of a p**********l e******n. The list goes on, and on.
