I believe the thread was titled "This Will Be My Final Thread On This Site" by bdamage. It generated eight "pages" of threads and I think that a new post happens on it every so often still today.

There are over 800 threads on Chit Chat alone. I rummaged through. So far, the longest was a Prayer Team thread with 69,998 views and an exceedingly high response number. Of course, I still have hundreds more to go through…if I feel like it.

For the year 2014 top contenders: Prayer Team 2 & 3 has close to 1500 replies each with 70,759/73829 views. Second was five threads titled Women and Politicians:1485/48562 views: 1488/52685 views; 1485/58794 views: 1428/58689 views: 1485/60758 views.
