Avoid them at all costs.

Several people, including myself, have said that to this person. It doesn't do any good for the narcissist, but when other people make the connection that he is one, it makes sense to them. It makes it easier to ignore them!

It's something to keep in mind when considering ignoring someone....they are arrogant AH's who will never change - because they think they are just fine up there in the clouds on their high pedestals.

I do understand, though, that when they get too obnoxious and start bashing people personally - which this person does constantly - it's worth it to come out of ignoring them and support the one being bashed....that's where I cross the "I am going to ignore this jerk" line.

Actually, individuals pay the most taxes to the tune of about 50%. Corporate taxes are at about 4% and that includes small business, such as limited liability companies (LLC) and s-corporations. I'm not sure of how much of that 4% is coming from small business vs big business, but I know that small businesses rarely have the money to pay for legal teams to find ways to avoid paying taxes like Fortune 500 companies do.

It sounds like you're hearing a lot of things but you're just having a hard time putting it together. I would say not to worry, it takes time to figure all this out but it's not going to happen if you allow your prejudices and emotional outrage to block your understanding.

Wrong! From the 2018 graph.

The top 1% pays 40% of the total income tax.

The 2% to 5% pay 20% of the total income tax.

The bottom 50% pay 3% of the total income tax.

You could belong to the bottom 50% who pay 3% of the total income tax.

Here are the tax brackets and Federal income tax rates in 2023-2024.

My tax bracket in 2023 was 32%. How about yours?

This graph below represents year 2018.

Are you still working? I am retired.
I have business expense deductions in 2023, that sheltered some of my income. Otherwise, I could have paid more than that.

In 2024, I will be paying more. A part of my business be liquidated and sold. There will be Capital gains, and Biden's tax on Capital gains will be 44.6%. Then there is the State excise tax. The State excise tax must also be paid, about 1.28% of the gross income.

Biden wants to tax unearned income which is illegal. That is against the proper accounting application on GAAP. Earned income is realized when the business investment is sold, and gains are realized. Gross income minus the capital investments minus operating expenses. That must be the net taxable income.

Investment value like stocks go up and down. That is not the proper way to measure income because it is not stable. Income is realized upon sales. And taxes must be charged on the net. Gross income minus the acquisition cost, and operating cost is the taxable income. Biden does not understand that because he never earned his income but came from taxpayers for almost 50 years.

He's the only Liberal on OPP who can give me a decent argument. At least besting him in debate is not like clubbing a baby seal, like most Liberal Leg Humpers.

Yes but I'm retiring next year I'll be 80 .

We had some really high yields in 22 and 23 and high prices and I had half of my 22 bean crop carried over so selling those plus my 2023 crop and I had paid all my 2024 crop expense and put a chunk of money into my SEP plus carrying over half of my 23 bean and still ended up in the higher bracket .

Happy retirement! You deserve it. Take care of your health as well for many more happy years ahead.

You are one of the producers that make this country great.
Farming is great and one of the most important jobs that must be protected. That is where we depend on. Without that we will all starve.

Biden wants to kill all the cattle on the fields due to his "Climate Change".

If my husband was alive today, he is 80 years old. I think most of us are retiring or have retired but have done great.

May 27 will be Memorial Day. This is the time I will hear again the "Taps", reminding me crying as I bid farewell during my husband's last day.

Good luck to you, and God bless!

It's robbery isn't it. Then they squander it and print more.

Wow! You are one hard-working American!! And believe me, we appreciate your efforts! Retiring 15 years after everyone else usually does is admirable! Congratulations on your decision to retire after all those years of contributing to society!! Good Job!!!

Business reminder to ensure tax are minimized.

From plantation to the market, anything you've spent to raising those beans, until sales to the market are all tax deductible. Make sure all are on records, and properly documented, defined, and classified.

If you use equipment or machinery on your plantation until sales. Depreciations on cars, trucks, machines used in productions and transports are all deductible expenses.

Please don't forget depreciating the equipment of the machines according to the life of those machines. (How long the machines last). The depreciations are all deductible expense every year until fully depreciated.

Those machines all helped generate your revenue. And depreciations over the life of those assets are tax deductible.

I was an Accountant and Auditor. Good luck!
