In 1970 I participated in a fund-raising march to help finance a group dedicated to saving trees.
It corresponded with the first "Earth Day".
Ralph Nader was involved, and the group was called "Connecticut Earth Action Group," if you're interested.
We took off from classes to march.
Anyway, a couple years later I graduated high-school, and my guidance-counselor felt compelled to tell me the "government" had agents and photographers at that march, and that they (agents) had visited my school gathering information on anyone involved.
My point is, to students and parents alike ; your "investment" now has a "memo" attached to it.
I can't presume to know what, if any, affect your ( protestors) behavior will have on your lives, but you can move ahead with this bit of knowledge.
